Karen is a Senior healthcare Consultant at The McKeogh Company. She is a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) and has attained the Retirement Plans Associate and Group Benefits Associate specialty designations within the CEBS program. She also has her Health and Life broker’s license.

Karen specializes in multiemployer health and welfare plans and has two decades of experience in the multiemployer benefit industry. Her experience includes actuarial valuations, claims experience analysis, financial projections, contract analysis, participant communications, drafting of plan documents and Summary Plan Descriptions and compliance with laws including HIPAA, ACA, ERISA and COBRA.  She began her career at Towers Perrin as a Benefits Specialist.  Karen’s responsibilities included pension and retiree health and welfare administration.  Karen also worked to develop and implement standard administration practices as well as to provide training to staff members.

Karen joined The McKeogh Company in February 2003. She has a BS degree in Finance with minors in Psychology and Risk Management and Insurance from LaSalle University. Karen is a shareholder of The McKeogh Company. Karen.crossin@mckeogh.com
