Boris is a senior pension actuary at The McKeogh Company, where he primarily specializes in the management of multiemployer defined benefit pension plans. Prior to joining The McKeogh Company, Boris was a Retirement Consultant in Willis Towers Watson’s Philadelphia office for over 11 years, where he provided support to mid and large size companies with their single employer defined benefit pension plans, defined contribution plans, non-qualified pension benefit arrangements and health and welfare programs.
Boris has significant experience managing actuarial valuations, including ERISA funding calculations and accounting results under US and international accounting standards, as well as SEC financial reporting with respect to pension and health & welfare plans. Boris has worked with traditional, cash balance, and pension equity plan structures on both ongoing and frozen pension plans.
Boris has extensive knowledge of ERISA regarding plan document drafting and complex benefit administration issues, including QDRO procedures, required minimum distributions, benefit suspensions and late retirement calculations. He also has overall expertise with due diligence and compliance under ERISA for defined benefit plans, including DOL Form 5500 reporting, SPDs, SMMs and other plan notices and disclosures.
Boris has a Bachelor of Science degree in Actuarial Science from the Pennsylvania State University. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, an Enrolled Actuary under ERISA, a member of the American Academy of Actuaries and a Fellow of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries.
